Once you have made contact, we can agree a date and time for your first session.
I have a lovely welcoming therapy room where you can discuss any worries or concerns. On your first session you will be greeted with warmth, a big smile and a drink. I will show you around, so you are familiar with the surroundings.
Why EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy designed to help people process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. When we go through something overwhelming, our brains sometimes struggle to fully process the event, leaving us feeling stuck or repeatedly triggered. EMDR uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess these difficult memories in a safe and controlled way.
Over time, EMDR can reduce the emotional intensity attached to these memories, allowing you to move forward without feeling controlled by past experiences. It is widely used for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, phobias, and other emotional difficulties, and is suitable for both adults and children.
Why Sand Tray Therapy?
Sand tray therapy is a creative and gentle approach that allows you to express feelings and experiences in a non-verbal way. Using a tray of sand and a collection of miniature figures and objects, you can create scenes or stories that reflect your inner world.
This hands-on, visual method helps you explore emotions that might be hard to put into words, offering a sense of safety and freedom. It is especially effective for children, but adults also find it deeply healing, as it taps into the natural ability to process and make sense of experiences through symbolic expression.
Sand tray therapy can help with emotional regulation, self-awareness, trauma recovery, and personal growth, and supports you in finding new perspectives and solutions in a calm and supportive space.
Clinical Supervision
In addition to my therapy work, I also provide clinical supervision. I offer a supportive and reflective space for counsellors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to explore their practice, develop professionally, and ensure safe and effective care for their clients.
If you are interested in therapy or supervision, please feel free to get in touch. I would be happy to discuss how I can support you in your personal or professional journey.
