Hello, my name is Amanda …

I bring over 25 years of experience as a Dual Registered Nurse, qualified in both General Nursing and Mental Health Nursing, and I hold an active NMC PIN. Alongside my nursing qualifications, I have a Degree in Health Studies and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Person-Centred Approach), and I am currently working towards full accreditation.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the EMDR Europe Association. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy, supporting both adults and children. EMDR is a gentle yet effective approach that helps people process traumatic or overwhelming experiences, enabling the mind to heal naturally.

I also offer sandtray therapy, a creative and expressive method where clients use a tray of sand and miniature figures to build scenes that reflect their inner world. This can be a powerful way to explore emotions and experiences that might feel too difficult to put into words.

I understand that life can feel overwhelming at times, and it can take courage to reach out for help. If you are feeling vulnerable, stuck, or simply in need of a safe space to talk and be heard, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I would be honoured to support you on your journey towards healing and greater wellbeing.
